About Oceanside Color Bar

Oceanside Color Bar is Oceanside Glass & Tile's (OGT) dedicated color format for the hot glass arts, built to complement their long-running Studio Nuggets line. Because every Color Bar is produced on the same 96 COE platform as OGT's sheet glass, frit, rod, stringer, and noodle products, blowers can layer and mix Color Bar with the rest of their Oceanside Compatible glass without worrying about compatibility.

OGT makes its glass using the Continuous Ribbon process — a patented technique that traces back to 1976, when it was first adapted for art glass by the founders of Spectrum Glass Company. The process is still the only one of its kind in the art glass world and is known for producing exceptionally smooth, consistent color that's easy to work hot and easy to cut cold.

The Color Bar line spans 54 colors across both transparent and opalescent finishes, including OGT's signature aventurine sparkle colors. The compact bar format gives blowers a denser, easier-to-meter alternative to loose cullet or frit when gathering color onto a punty or marvering it into a piece.
