Instructors Bios

Saman Kalantari started working as a ceramic artist in 1992 while earning a BA in foreign language from Azad University in Iran.  He participated in several solo and group exhibitions in his home country before moving to Italy in 2004.  In 2007 he completed a two-year course at Vetroricerca Glas & Modern in Bolzano, Italy. There he discovered glass, which was the right material to describe his social experiences of life, both in Iran and in Europe.  In 2008, he won the Bullseye Glass, E-merge “Newcomer Award”. Saman’s work has been published in international magazines and journals such as Glasshouse and Neues Glas.
