Expand your knowledge of kilnformed glass in this workshop that will focus on texture and glass manipulation. This two-day class is designed for beginners or for anyone who would like to refresh their fusing skills.

In-class projects will include texture tiles, handmade fiber-paper relief tiles, and textured glass tiles accentuated with frit and mica powders.

Featured projects and demonstrations will include how to rake molten glass and how to dam pieces that exceed ¼ inch thicknesses, plus firing schedules for tack fusing, and how to dam with fiber paper. Additional demonstrations will show how to set up pot melts and screen melts. A brief introduction to coldworking will explain the significance in the fusing process, and how it will add value to your art glass work.

Join D&L and Erinn Diekman for a two-day hands-on course with an emphasis on the technical and artistic possibilities of fused glass. This class is perfect for a beginner or for anyone who needs a refresher course.
 
This workshop will cover the fundamentals of fusing, slumping, glass compatibility, firing schedules, kiln and mold preparation and safety.  Erinn will demonstrate numerous glass processes including application of frit, powder and stringers as well as how to work with paints and inclusions. You will get an introduction to the use of metals, mica powders and Glassline paints in fused glass.

Students will create multiple fused projects as well as a slumped project.

Join D&L and Michael Dupille for a three-day workshop with an emphasis on creative frit techniques.

Learn new and inventive frit techniques in this popular workshop. You'll learn how to make “Frit Sticks”, “Vitros” and a new process called “Scratch and Frit.” Michael will teach the basic practices of fritography, and then show you how to combine those methods with unusual shapes and how to achieve different effects using a variety of dam methods. Part of this process will be learning how to create parts and elements to include in larger works. The focus of this workshop will be less on creating specific images and more on the techniques that will give you success with frit-based imagery in all your projects.

Students will create one main fused or cast glass project each day as well as other projects.
